Bonus Episode 5: The Amero Brothers’ BLONDE AMBITION (1981)

For this month's bonus episode, we're diving into uncharted waters with our first heterosexual film, the Amero Brothers' 1981 adult spectacular, Blonde Ambition. Billed as being a movie for those who 'liked Deep Throat and Singin' in the Rain', Blonde Ambition tells the story of the Kane Sisters — Candy and Sugar — and their meteoric rise to stardom. With a star-studded cast drawn from New York's gay and straight film scenes, a hilariously camp script, and a finale set at a drag ball, Blonde Ambition is the straight — but incredibly faggy — film you need in your life.

Over the course of the episode, we'll dive into the blurred lines between sexualities in the 70s, gay themes and characters in heterosexual adult films, and the question of whether or not someone could actually get off to this.
